The nearby village of la Mole has a small but well-stocked supermarket and an award-winning bakery which also sells pies and pizzas. L’Auberge de la Mole is a well known restaurant often frequented by celebrities which offers remarkable cuisine from the Périgord in a rustic setting. There are two other pleasant little restaurants in the village as well.
Major supermarkets are 9 km distant in Cogolin, which holds market days twice weekly.
Tennis and riding are available nearby.
Walks: a privately maintained trail leads past the property to the well known chartreuse or Carthusian monastery of La Verne, high in the massif des Maures. It is also possible to climb to the nearby ruins of Sainte Madeleine for an extraordinary view over the Gulf of St Tropez and the hills of Provence. The massif offers numerous other hiking possibilities.
The small airport of St Tropez is not far distant and is practical for arrival by private plane. Located on the other side of the hills of la Mole and with little traffic, its existence in no way disturbs the peace and quiet of the surroundings.
How to get to St Julien: by road to la Mole, by train to Hyères or Toulon or by commercial flight to Toulon or Nice.
